I got induced on Oct. 11, 2011. They decided to induce me at 38 weeks & 1 day, everything
was going good, but they just decided to induce me so hopefully no problems would
come. The Dr.'s didn't want me going early or late! The night before I got a phone
call the be at Timpangos Hospital at 5:00 a.m. I was glad that I was going in early,
I didn't want to sit around and wait all day. I was the first one because of my
history. So thankfully Jason's mom came and stayed with Austin and Lincoln.
So we got to the hospital at 5 and it took the nurse 1 1/2 hours to get my iv started!
I guess I have rolling veins. They started me on an iv that got my contractions going. About
8:30 a.m. I got my epidural. Which by the way Jason left to go get a drink out in the waiting area and the epidural Dr. came in when he was gone of course! So I got my epidural then Jason came in my room with flowers, I was wondering what was taking him so long, that's okay though! A little while after that Dr. Aagard came in and broke my water, which got every thing going a lot faster! I was starting to feel my contractions and allot of pressure so the nurse checked me and I was at a 10! I went from a 5 to a 10 in 30 minutes!!! And of course they had to call Dr. Bean (my favorite Dr.) and he said he would be there in 30 minutes, which seemed like forever! The nurse kept coming in and crossing my legs trying to do what ever would help! My Mom got there right before everything started to go so fast. Then my sisters, Marni &Amber also got there. My Dad and niece Courtney stayed out in the waiting room. And my friend Ammy got there right after I delivered! So when Dr. Bean got there he got all dressed and ready to deliver Tanner! After 1 contraction he was here at 11:41 a.m.! He cried right when he came out, which was so nice. ( Austin and Lincoln never cried when they came out which can be very scary!) And they put him on me right after he came out (which again I have never had that happen). He was so perfect and healthy! He weighed 7 lbs and 6 oz. and 20" long! While they where cleaning him my left leg was still numb and it was hanging half way off the sturup and it totally just fell off the sturup, I couldn't feel it at all, it was so funny! It was so nice having a healthy baby, we where able to keep him the whole time, even after he was delivered! That is how it is supposed to be!!! It made me appreciate having a healthy baby! He is so precious and tiny! I just want to really enjoy everything since they grow soo fast!
